Mike Twist already has a lifetime of experience in the
transportation and auto racing fields and used that to
start Twist Family Motors, LLC.
A graduate of UNC Charlotte, Mike has worked in the
sport of NASCAR racing as a member of the Bessey
Motorsports Cup Series team, an assistant for TNN
Motorsports' television productions, a writer for National
Speed Sport News and the editor of Speed51.com.
Mike still covers races and writes feature stories for
Speed51.com and Speed 51 Radio, appearing at
semi-professional race events throughout the country.
He has also raced at a number of tracks as a driver, including at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, Oxford Plains Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Hickory Motor Speedway and Star Speedway. He has visited victory lane on multiple occasions at the historic Thunder Road Speedbowl in Vermont.
In the transportation field, Mike has worked in commercial sales for a leading New England General Motors dealership as well as at a Cadillac dealership. He was a partner in a used car / H&H Trailer dealership located in New Hampshire and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bus and Transit Sales, Inc. - a business that brokered new and used school buses to customers all over the world.. His success in marketing vehicles online has been written about in the book, "Tricks of the eBay Masters". Mike has sold hundreds of vehicles from golf carts to big rigs through online and print marketing and has quickly become a knowledgeable resource in the transportation industry. He also founded the automotive websites RealWorldRides.com and CadillacMike.com
Mike's five-year-old daughter Courtney can often be found at Twist Family Motors. Mike is a very proud single Dad for half of the week and loves the fact that he can include his daughter in this family business. He also knows that he will probably be working for Courtney here at Twist Family Motors someday.
Away from the automobile business and the racetrack, Mike enjoys spending time with family, kayaking, four wheeling and going to car shows.
Missy Parsons is one of the founding partners of Twist
Family Motors, LLC. She runs the day to day operations
of the business and can be found meeting customers at
our Cumberland, Maine location. Missy was born and
raised in the nearby Gray/New Gloucester area and
spent 15 years as a pre school teacher at Wilsondale
Country Care before moving on to care for children at
Briarwood Children's House in Lyman.
Missy has shown to be a quick learner in the automotive
business thanks to her high level of customer service
skills. She will assist you through all steps of the
automobile buying purchase with no pressure.
Missy is helped in the office at Twist Family Motors often by her four-year-old daughter Ella. Her son Zach can often be found lending a hand to the business as well by washing cars on occasion.
